ISEE Exam Prep

Preparing for the ISEE doesn’t have to be complicated. The ISEE is an important step for families applying to private schools, and you have worked hard to reach this point. Our goal is straightforward: your child should walk into the testing room already knowing what to expect, because nothing on the page will be a surprise.

Which level does my child take?

Your child’s level is based on the grade they are applying to enter, not the grade they are in now. We prepare students at every level we serve:
At the Lower, Middle, and Upper Levels, the exam covers Verbal Reasoning, Quantitative Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, and Mathematics Achievement, followed by an essay. The Primary Level is shorter and focuses on reading and mathematics with a brief writing sample.

We prepare your child for all of it, including both math sections. Reading, vocabulary, and writing are strengths of ours, and so is mathematics.

How our process works

A complimentary diagnostic exam

Your child begins with a full-length diagnostic that mirrors the content, format, and timing of the real ISEE. For many students, this is the first time they have sat through a test of this length, and that experience alone is valuable.

A detailed review of the results

We analyze the diagnostic to identify academic strengths and gaps, and we look closely at pacing. Running out of time is one of the most common reasons a capable student underperforms on this exam.

Targeted one-on-one instruction

We walk through answer explanations for every question your child missed or skipped, then teach the underlying skills and the test-taking strategies that fit those specific problem areas. Sessions are built around your child, not around the next chapter of a workbook.

Practice between sessions

We walk through answer explanations for every question your child missed or skipped, then teach the underlying skills and the test-taking strategies that fit those specific problem areas. Sessions are built around your child, not around the next chapter of a workbook.

A follow-up practice test

Later in the program, your child takes a second full-length exam so we can measure growth, confirm that pacing has improved, and adjust the plan for the remaining sessions.

The essay matters more than families expect

The ISEE essay is not scored, but a copy is sent to every school receiving your child’s results. It may be the only sample of your child’s unedited writing an admissions committee ever sees.

We coach. We never ghostwrite. Your child learns how to plan, organize, and develop a response in the time allowed, and the writing that reaches those schools is entirely their own.

Who your child will be working with

Our program was created by a certified teacher with over 20 years of classroom experience, named Campus Teacher of the Year, and holding Texas certifications in Generalist grades 4 to 8 and Special Education. We are a BBB Accredited Business and an approved TEFA vendor.

Through one-on-one tutoring, your child receives guidance from an experienced educator who truly understands the exam, not a tutor who simply follows a workbook.

Logistics

Sessions are one-on-one and held online through Zoom or Google Meet, so families anywhere can work with us. Scheduling is flexible, including evenings and weekends.

Most families see the best results when they begin two to three months before the test date. That leaves room for the diagnostic, steady skill building, and a follow-up practice test without rushing. If your test date is sooner than that, reach out anyway and we will build the most effective plan the calendar allows.
